Harley Davidson Sportster by The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol

On this day The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol paid a visit to secret lodge number 6 to check in on Patrolman Paden today.  Patrolman Paden had mounted a new set of Avon Venom's on this Sportster and previously bobbed the rear fender and wrapped the header pipes.  This particular Sportster belongs to Dave Watson, a famous Canadian production manager and restaurateur.

If you are in Toronto you should pay a visit to Dave's coffee shop the Rooster Coffee House. In 2010 The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol awarded the Rooster Coffee House a Double Winnwell Espresso award. For those of you who don't know, the Double Winnwell Espresso is awarded to Canadian citizens who have roasted, brewed and served exceptional coffee in Canada.

Moose Sausage Recipe Requests and a BSA Catalina Scrambler

The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol are primarily known for three things.

1)  Riding and restoring super cool and ultra fast motorcycles.

2)  Dragging dead moose.

3)  The rendering and processing of dead moose into extremely lean and delicious sausage.

All that being said, The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol has no intent on releasing the secret recipe for moose sausage at this time. We have received 4537 email requests to date, asking for our secret moose sausage recipe.  The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol would like to make it known that the secret moose sausage recipe is not available online or in print.  The recipe is not for sale, although there may be a time in future when we make the recipe available on this site.

Vintage WD-40 Ad From 1964

The members of The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol appreciate the finer things in life.  Carefully crafted beer and fine spirits, classic motorcycles and automobiles and WD-40.  What shop or garage would be complete without a can of WD-40 sitting on a bench or tucked on a shelf in the corner?  Need to free a sticking bolt?  Need to de-grease some tools?  Need to expel some water from a carb or electrical connection?  WD-40 has admirably performed all those tasks and more.  That is why The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol would like to salute the manufacturers of WD-40 for jobs well done sir.  Please enjoy this classic WD-40 advert from 1964.  This is an original ad.  We did not make this up.

The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol Visits Terry Howson's Old School Body Shop

The Royal Canadian Motorcycle Patrol paid a visit to Terry Howson on this day to discuss and document Terry's body shop business and forthcoming sale.  The property where Terry has had his business for the last 35 years is being sold and Terry must vacate the premises by the end of March.  Terry has a large compliment of old and unique tools.  Most of these tools will be thrown into a dumpster and taken to a metal yard where they will be sold by the pound for scrap.  If there are any items, that members would like to purchase from Terry, please contact Patrolman Taylor via email to get Terry's contact information.  There is a lot of cool canadiana here in Terry's shop.  It would be a shame to see all of it go to the scrap yard.

This is a very big, very heavy vice.

This is a link belt machine.  This hand operated machine can link belts together.  The sort of belts used for steam powered machinery.  Completely esoteric but very cool.

The grinder is not for sale but the base is.  The base is pretty cool.

Metal lathe for sale.  Fully functioning.  Approximate weight.  900lbs

These straps came out of the DeLaval plant and were used to lift  huge drums.  Cast aluminum with canvas webbing.
